Comedy of manners (also known as Restoration Comedy)

Origin
First developed in Ancient Greece, and flourished during the "Restoration Period" and more. 

Interesting Characteristics 
Uses satire as a form of entertainment, and to mimic the nobles or upper-class.
Use of vulgar and sexual language.
Much Ado About Nothing, Importance of Being Earnest are examples.

How did comedy of manners influence future theatrical performances?
